Getting something interesting from the mundane

At this point I can't afford to make photo trips to exotic locations but I do try to carry my camera around and get some interesting shots at home, near where I live and on mundane trips.  

Things around the house:

I had a pile of old magneto-optical discs that were of no value and disassembled one to take some shots.

I sliced a tomato and used a white dish and a flashlight to get this image:

Informal The nearby Five Rivers Environmental Education Center is always good for a quick hike:

Cattail I was able to catch comet PanSTARRS by going over to a friend's house:

PanSTARRS The last three images were taken in Florida on a trip with not a lot of opportunity to go on photo safari:

That water thing is very funky, neat tricks. The cat is so cute too.

Wow, these are great, Randy! What kind of camera are you using? Have you thought about selling some of these are entering a contest, etc.? You really are good!
